This beautiful print is one of a set of stamps issued in Dubai in 1968. The European bee-eater, affectionally named on our prints as ‘little red’, is a rarity in the UAE as it is overshadowed by its smaller cousins the Arabian green bee-eaters. They are one of the UAE’s 465 species of birds, a surprisingly rich number given the relatively dry desert environment.

The image has been lovingly restored and the art print has been produced on luxurious 250gsm art matte paper using archival quality inks.
